Event Coverage Let the Cruise Nights Begin

It has been a long Winter, so finally perfect weather today. The first cruise night in the area was in New Milford put on by the Paradise Cruisers. Nice turnout. Tomorrow will drive about 50 minutes to Oxford's Fritz's Diner. Always a good crowd there. I just got in and here are some photo's from tonight. Enjoy!

I have got ahold of half a dozen of my buddies to go cuuz'n next Sunday. Cant wait.

 

the guy running the counter at a station yesterday, said it was snowing in Norfolk Ct that morning! Coldest dang town in CT!!!

hey, I was out twice with mine today...first trip was lunch time at the Dam...two regulars show up each day, so I wanted to BS awhile...DANG IT..one of them said UConn has commencement this weekend! They will be going home! Geez only a few warm days left to go be with "my girls" LOL... so later in the day I had no plans to go there, went to the lake..meh...then sat at the dam...er, so-so... then....Off to Campus!!...Oh geez...the guy at the dam said they like to pose all of the last two weeks of school at the horse barn..just like I've been seeing...lots were there today..One couple did a photo shoot at the car.. I went for a short walk so they could.

You guys are missing out! 80 degrees coming for a few days! This time I will just park it there, tell a few to spread the word that they can sit in it, on it, and take pics...I will go for a walk up the big hill so they can have a blast with it, without me looking/caring at what they do .. Make some kids happy, ya know?
my camera lens has had it! way too scratched now..

 

Frank, i swop them out on high way runs so i don't risk losing one. i just forgot to switch them back.

Hey Ted, you admitted you now have heated seats, so don't use all the cold weather we got stuck with as a excuse..

I ran mine as a true daily driver all through February, even once in a snow squall; ....I had to keep it in 2nd gear with the skinny bias rear tires so it did not come around on me. Got a lot of raised fists that day!

Mark, that's a beautiful car and some red wheels would sure look nice with the red engine detail.. HRP

 

It needs the full hub caps with just the red edge showing. I do like it with the small caps and black rims, but the other way is the way I remember it back in the 60's Either way that car always gets tons of attention. That rare body style is just so cool.

 

Lots of nice cars, the silver RPU really got my attention.
Up here in the Great White North the cruises don't start for another month.
A few indoor shows but that is about it.
Nobody wants to have their show cancelled by snow.
Truthfully, I'm a little jealous of our southern brothers, I've been reading about car shows & cruise nights
on here for the last couple months.
Up until 2 weeks ago we were still dealing with snow banks.
Our lakes are still frozen!
Come on Summer, hurry the fuck up!

 

Tonight drove down to Oxford CT. Fritz's Diner. Just got in, and it was definitely roadster weather tonight. T shirt and top down. Beautiful sky on the way home, but my camera was in the trunk. So here are some pics.

Some nice weather so decided to take a ride down to Norwalk Beach Cruise that is put on once a month in the summer by The Coachmen Rod & Custom club. Big turnout as always. Worth the hour plus drive. Got to see many old friends. Here are a few pic's.

All the cruse ins around here are done on Saturday nights,but the Texas Roadhouse sponsored one this past Monday evening,small turn out and only a few cars that could be considered Hamb friendly.

Rest of it was off topic and leave it to the local guy that thinks he is cool,some idiot drove a brand spanking new KIA with paper tags and parked among the old cars,the man that was setting up everything told him the older cars parked in this area and kia guy replied he could park any damn place he wanted.

I walked over to the manager hosting the cruse in and offered him some advice,don't worry about the KIA guy,to me it fit in fine with the 4 wheel drive trucks and jeeps. HRP

I myself prefer the little show n shines during the week, it's nice not to have to fight big crowds, plus they are short and sweet during the cooler evening hours.
