    Well this week' projects:
Weld in the hood and brake line to crown it.
Install the new taillights and weld up the original holes.
Most likely start welding the rear fenders on.
    Next week.... electrical.

Why brake line instead of solid rod?
    Just curious, looks great!

Under the heading:" don't let him near your car", I give you my latest project; removing the rear end.

I'm cutting out Bubbas perches, replacing with 2 inch lowering blocks.
Those perches are 7.5 long. Have no idea what he was thinking. With the 3 leafs taken out already, 2 inch blocks will drop it nice

The unsightly ear end is out and getting spring perches retrofit. This gives me a change to deal with that honey do list. No need to post gardening and spring cleaning pictures. I hope to be sewing things back up on tuesday. In the mean time I've got to alight the driver rear fender so I can get welding soon.

What pieces did you use when you shaved your handles? I've got one to do but no prior experience. I know lots of people don't like electrics but seems like the best to me.

I will be installing solenoids and poppers but also a long choke cable that will feed from the latch mechanism, through the door to the inner front fenders. Those will be my back up in case of power failure after the roof is chopped and vent windows removed.

Don' you love opening an old box on the back of a shelf and finding goodies you squirreled away years ago?

Either of those lights will look great.
I can't identify the second one, which is a PLUS.

I was pretty sure the 50 ford were going to be the ones until I opened box number two. 47, 48 plymouth with blue dots added. I have no idea how I ended up with them or even when I got them. Once I start working the back fenders I'll really look where they need to be mounted, but I'm digging their fat bottom look.

Finally back at the rear tomorrow. A couple days of fiddling and we'll see if the 2.5 inch lowering blocks will be enough.
It'll be nice to have this behind me. I hate having to fix another's clusterduck.

Is the 41 dash the same for 42 & 46 Fleetlines?

One rear fender aligned and ready to get worked. I find it hard to focus on anything until I complete an outstanding task so best to be out of the shop. Hope to get the rear back in this weekend so I can get going again.

20180504_162717.jpg Feeling a little better. Back to town for shorter bolts tomorrow. Sure hope this works this time.

  30. Pretty nice 41, leave the stock taillights, the ford and plymouths look bad, french the headlights with 52 Ford rings and stainless, shave the trunk lid, move the license plate to the bumper and you'll have a killer car.
