[QUOTE="mad mikey, You are correct sir. I would say they work great. And I am the only guy in my area running one.;):)[/QUOTE]

    Hello,

Back in 1959, I took some movies at Riverside Raceway during an invasion of the top Midwest/Eastern drag racers. They were going against the top racers from So Cal and the Western states. It was a long day, from the crack of dawn to very late into the evening. A couple of teenagers on the loose at a famous Dragstrip watching the top drag racers of the day…what could be any better than that? (closer to home, maybe?)

Filming all day, eating hot dogs, cokes and whatever else was in the snack bar made for a complete day. But, in the eliminations, I saw something that we had never seen on a race car, let alone on a top eliminator race car. It looks like a generator of some kind or a fuel pump for the Hilborn Injectors.
    upload_2018-4-23_4-47-27.png
“The fuel pump is primarily responsible for setting the overall fuel curve. This curve is then tailored by the barrel valve, main jet(pill) and associated bypasses. Here, you can see the inlet(A), shut off valve(B), outlet to the barrel valve(C), and primary bypass(D), that also contains the main jet.”

Most of the 671 Hilborn injected motors had their fuel pumps down low with a hose going to the injectors. I guess this early racer decided to do his own thing.

Unless of course, you are the builder of the Cirino, Groves, Durfee Auto Roadster with the multiple belts, pulleys and pump.

  9. OH YEA. Took her to a show sat. And have been running her around, working out some little seeps on the mill and so far so good, she is a animal, and a hand full.;) I have the tune pretty good, air fuel ratio numbers are very nice. Need more warm weather, NOW! LOL.

No offense meant because that is about the most bad ass piece of induction I have ever seen. I just find it amusing that some one could deal with that crazy complicated throttle linkage system but need to mark the simple cylinder order with a sharpie on them to keep track...lol

It sure makes the 4 x 2 linkage I made look primitive.

It’s very similar to the factory 426 Hemi crossram, but I think it is an aftermarket piece with the bolt on tops custom made for the carbs.
