  6. Okay, so bring me up to speed or maybe convince me of what I'm building for myself. I am an F-100 die hard. I bought my first 55 in in 1965 for $50.oo as a Work Horse. I've owned and built many for both myself and customers over the years. I just like them. I'm currently doing another one for myself and again it's just going to be a work Horse but a Dang nice one. It will probably be the last one I build. Personally I just consider it a Truck and not much more. I am however doing it my way with plenty of not so noticeable little changes. It will ware a Stock Custom Cab 53 Grill. Stock taillights. Factory stock tailgate. Stock side mirrors, vent windows and door handles. Factory bench seat and gauges. It will ware early generation American 5 spokes and black wall tires however a nice low stance but not by any means a Ground hugger and for sure NO Air Ride! It will also have a trailer hitch being it is for work. The big thing is it is Chopped, not a heavy one but from my point of view just enough. It was simply done so I liked the look better, that was all. I call it an adjustment. I don't even remember how much I removed.
So the question I have based on prior statements "Is this a Full Custom?" I don't think so.

    Check the "Pontiac-esque" hood waterfall.

You know that the waterfall is stock on a '41 pickup, right?

    Check!
I also realize that the truck I originally posted (gold '41) is a bit too "tweaked" to qualify for this thread, and has been edited out. (I just thought it made a nice comparison shot.)

  13. I really like this 50 2 door but with stock Door handles, peep mirrors, Sun visor and hood ornament it makes the Frenched headlight treatment look out of place even with the painted on Buick side trim. I think the SS factory trim rings would have been right at home.

  30. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face with this! When my father-in-law was on his way out - cancer is a horrible thing - we were going through pics on google and he was telling me of all his old cars he had when growing up and he said one of if not his most favourite was an off-white 51 Bel Air with a dark burgundy roof, solenoid in the doors, and lakes pipes. A pic of this very car came up in our search and he had a tear in his eye. He said ist was so close - even the extra teeth in the grille - that it could easily have been the same car. It brought a smile to his face then, and one to mine a day or so ago. Thanks.....
