The gate keeper I will have no problem with, you my friend better get in to eating a couple of ham sandwiches I put a few pounds on this winter.

 

Taking the day off work tomorrow to get the steering column yanked,dash removed,and the pedal box pulled from the car.
The crusty old factory installed plastic bushing finally gave up the ghost,and everything is crunching and grinding under there now.
Apparently the entire car was built around that pedal assembly.
This should be fun.

It's a direct replacement for what's already in my 55. Obviously, much stronger, though.......Now, as long as the rear axle doesn't break, again.....LOL.

 

M-20 is a great choice!Wide ratio=deeper first gear that works nice for jumping outta the hole easier.
Looks like those guys build them as precise as a Swiss watch,and durable as a tank.The spec sheet on the web site is pretty impressive!

Hahaaaa!You mean the guy who had been strutting around bragging about all his “12 second passes”,then proceeded to redlight trying to get out on me,and still lose by 2 bus lengths to my 13.36 with his 13.90 pass?
The best part was when he followed us back to the pits afterward,and thought he was dropping a big bomb on us all by introducing himself.
The look on his face was priceless when I said “Nice to BEAT you” instead of “nice to meet you”.

Dad & I will be there with the South Bend RoAd OiLeR to represent Buetsch Racing, but after being at all 8 Meltdowns & participating the last 4 years there will be no HeMi Valiant...running this year :^( I'm an alternate this year, We are still looking forward to a Great MDA Event!

 

Doesn't get any better than this... Night racing with the HeMi Valiant @ the Meltdown!

 

Rumor has it that there might be a 41 Studebaker coupe, (in it's unrestored condition), in the car show???
