I think I might have taken a pic of this beautiful 'delivery in '83 at the Nostalgia Nats at O.C.I.R. Loved it then and still do today. Hope it hasn't changed.

Like your car man, looked at your profile to see if you had a bigger pic of it and read where you at least at one time, were wishin you had a 2 door. Im sure you have read about the 2 door conversions on here but if you havent you might look it up.....however I like your car like it is, Being what it is makes it more unique in my opinion, Probably not too many beefy lookin hot rod yellow 4 door 56s runnin around and since youve had it since you were 10 might be a reason to keep it more the same as what it is too:cool:

Thanks, man. I appreciate that. I do still wish I had a 2-dr sometimes, but I think I'm gonna leave this one the way it is, get it to pass tech, and make a drag car out of it. My new plans call for a Midwest Muncie M-22 instead of the TH400 and 4200 stall converter...4-speeds are just more fun! Once I have more time and room, I'll try to get a 2-dr project and make a cruiser out of it...this one's a little too primal to be a road-tripper. I do need to get it back on the road so I can get some more pics of it. And yeah...it's definitely not going anywhere!

    Hello,
Can't let a yellow hot rod thread go by without one of the cleanest YELLOW 40 Ford Sedan Delivery vehicles from So Cal. The late, Lee Bright created this one after he had problems with the accident in the chopped 28 sedan delivery. This is one good looking sedan delivery that my wife liked and would happy if we owned it. (SBC, Buick Skylark wires, A/C, belly pan louvers, etc.)

Since the Easter Bunny activity is in full swing, here is one for all of you. The bunny steals the eggs from the Easter Chicken, decorates them and places them all over the neighborhood, out of the back of the 40 Ford Sedan Delivery. Then motors on to the next neighborhood, in full hot rod style.

    Happy Easter:

A couple of old pics of my '59 Studebaker Lark VI. Upgraded from a flathead six w/ automatic to a Stude 259 V8 w/ 3-spd overdrive.

I still own her, but she'll have to wait just a bit before she sees street duty, again.[IMG][IMG]

I posted these on another HAMB thread. Car could be made to drive however in the meantime it's his shop advertising; I can't remember if steel or one of his repop bodies.

2017 Price Transfer Automobilia Car Museum.

    Hello,

Yellow painted cars always stand out just because most cars are painted black or white. This 32 ford three window coupe was placed in a corner of the Price Transfer Automobilia Museum. But the corner was a showcase of cool 50s and 60s stuff. Who could forget Texaco Fire Chief Gasoline Stations? What about those super fun, Foster’s Freeze stand alone ice cream stores?

The yellow 32 Ford stood out because of the rarity of the coupe and the bright yellow color among the other 50s-60s emblems as a contrasting background. It looked like the yellow coupe just pulled up into the parking lot of the local Foster Freeze for a wavy, soft vanilla cone or hot, chocolate covered sundae.(or is ready for some Fire Chief Ethyl)

We were lucky to have a Foster’s Freeze ice cream store located on the way home from elementary school. It definitely was a daily stop with what was left over from the lunch money. The parking lot of the Westside Long Beach Foster’s Freeze was on the main drag and catty corner to the old movie theater/bowling alley. It was almost a designated parking spot to showcase local hot rods and cool cruisers. It was also a designated stop during the long walk home during the Junior HS days, before going to the bowling alley.

This yellow 32 coupe in the Automobilia corner just had the look, a slight rake, color coordinating wheels, and smooth mini hubcaps filled out the cool style. There were cars like the yellow 32 from the Automobilia Museum just cruising around and parking in the large Foster's Freeze corner lot. It was the only Foster’s Freeze for miles around. The Price Transfer Automobilia Museum? one of a kind place, the only one in the Long Beach/Carson area.

    Hello,

While driving around looking for the Santa Ana Courthouse Sheriff’s Center, we came across this 62 Chevy Panel Truck that has been the advertising display for Original Mike’s Restaurant and Concert Venue. For as long as we have been cruising around Santa Ana and the famous downtown area, this Chevy panel truck has been around. The paint is showing signs of daily outside weather wear, but the design on the flames around the license plate was pretty neat.
    upload_2018-5-19_4-44-12.png
The front fenders received fine line, pinstriping flames with a slight shading inside of the flames. The wheels are another story. At one time, this Chevy was probably the delivery truck for the restaurant. But, if anyone has been to this place for the hot rod events, they have probably seen this yellow truck sitting in the corner of the parking lot. Drivers can’t help but to have their eye sight see this bright yellow truck while cruising down 1st Street.

It would take some time, but the truck is in need of an overhaul to make it as good as new, again. But, definitely needs some other wheels…Moon Discs perhaps? Or deep dish chrome rims with smoothie mini hubcaps? What about a lowered stance like this Chevy panel truck?

“Original Mike’s Restaurant resides in what was Santa Ana’s first Buick, horseless carriage auto dealership built in 1919. 100 South Main St was and still is the heart and soul of downtown Santa Ana. It was renovated after being abandoned for over twenty years.”

I’ve never been a fan of yellow even though there are a few rides I’ll take a second look.
