C87A86C5-A802-401A-8901-7B0A3913B12C.png Six months ago the owner of a 1947 Dodge Business Coupe approached me about finishing his project. The car was very near completion; the hood needed to be done but otherwise it was primed and ready for paint. It had been to many of different shops over a 10 period but the car never had a cohesive direction. This presented a challenge as ‘47 Dodge Business Coupes aren’t the most beautiful body designs, but I do love to be pushed creatively. To get this Dodge focused in the right direction I contacted Eric Black to design the body. There are countless modifications planned but in the end this will become a sleek and beautiful example of what a 40s Dodge should’ve looked like.

Any renderings of the front and back treatments, or do we just have to stay tuned?

    Either way, I'm subscribed!

Yes there is , you’ll have to stay tuned . I don’t want to give away everything just yet . But needless to say we’re not going with the stock grill . And it’s definitely a great improvement over the stock front end . Trying to keep a much dodge as possible .

Some of the early shots reveal the attempt to weld with a hatchet! Nice save!

That’s just some , but there is a lot more I have to fix that I didn’t post . The bad part everything was covered in 1/2 of body filler and it was ready for paint.

You said "not up to par" like it was no big deal.......holy crap, my cat could do better.

    Admire your abilities, though!

Hard to believe, anyone would spread that much mud and say it’s ready for paint!
Looking forward to see all of it! Awesome work your doing!

Yeah, I saw those photos and said to myself... "Turns out I am qualified to open a hotrod shop." ;)

Cody's follow-up photos put me right back into my britches.
