Looking for a seat for my 32 roadster. I have seen S10 or mini van seats used but I'm looking for the best fitting replacement seat. Does anyone have a good suggestion? Thank you in advance. Bill
i've used several Glide seats in 32's with great results..but very $$$$$ i have a mid 90's Dodge minivan middle seat in my `30 coupe and very happy with it curious....31 or 32?
IMO... in a roadster, I like a seat that tapers wider as it rises like the body does... upside down bus seat back but wider ?
I used a 99 caravan middle seat in my 31 roadster and I really like it. The back is short enough to be able to slide under the rear panel and get extra leg room. I've had guys 6' 5" sit in it and could drive it comfortably. At the furthest back setting, I can't quite reach the pedals at 6' 2".
For a long time I ran a narrowed Pinto wagon rear seat in my 31 roadster, then replaced it with a Glide. Not sure that the Pinto wasn't more comfortable.

It is a little out style for a HAMB car and depends a lot on how often you intend to drive the car but for safety reasons I would look at some of the bucket seats that come in late model picks with built in seat belts and head rests. Just be sure to anchor them securely. Charlie Stephens
Desk chairs from an office supply outfit. Just used the backs and bottoms attached to frames I fabricated from angle & strapping. Though I know purists will scoff, they fit like a glove and, at $100 per, certainly fit the budget. PS. This is in a '30 roadster. Glen M
my 32 roadster had a minivan seat at 6' 3" 235 pounds it was very uncomfortable, had no leg room and sat to high and no thigh support. Got a Glide seat and very happy with it and yes it was $$$$, I like the ease of installing it and the tilt back, I had large pockets installed on the back of the tilt for storage and I seat low with plenty leg room. before I would put a mini seat in I would make one out of wood and have covered
I'm also using the middle seat out of a Dodge mini van, and I like it. $25 plus tax at the local you pull our parts.

To mount my seat, I used a pair of $24.99 seat sliders from Speedway and made a couple pieces to extend them. I used the factory holes in the seat. I also found that some seats come with a drink holder that slides out from under the front.
Another nice thing about the caravan middle seat, you don't need tools to pull one out in the salvage yard. They clamp down with a lever to be easy to remove.
Buddy got some neat bucket seats from a boat shop for his son's tudor, went back for a pair for him... he said they were cheap ?

I used a baby ranger pick up seat... the base is set up in 1" increments... I removed [6] 1" sections … cut and welded the frame... put a 6" reversed pleat down into the cover and tied the ends together with wire ties... reinstalled and ran it for a season.... BUT... you sat on it not in it... you had to support your body with your arms on the wheel when turning sharply... just my $0.02 .
