    These look familiar, this is Glenn Townsend owner of the "Townsend Mobile" in Viola Illinois circa 1937 or so.
    This is my Uncle Dave shortly before he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. He bought the station in the picture above when he came home from the war. Both these pictures were taken by my Dad on a 1927 Kodak, we still have the camera.

     
  6. I haven't visited the Smithsonian in quite a few years, but I'll check it out this spring. Was it in any particular part of the museum?

    Actually she stored the Crown, the guy with the Chevy had a giant EGO and not much else, brought out the Crown and we've been happily a coupe for 40 yrs..
