I have seen that under the seat storage tool tray for 33 master on ebay, did not know exactly what it was for.

went shopping again on ebay THE STORE FOR MEN. I had already bought the jag rear quick change cover and a week later spotted this on the cheap, just over $100, so bought it.

Going to attempt to convert it using aluminum plate somehow to work on a jag rear rear. I like that it has the fluid reservoir wings below and would really stand out on a highly visible jag rear like in a model a ford or t.

I am hoping I can get it to adapt, not going to be an easy adaption, I don't think, I could be wrong as I have many times before...... going to take a big thinking cap.

Never saw anything like it, but it appears to be a very unique QC cover. A foremost expert in QCR's here on the HAMB, GearheadsQCE would most likely tell us more info on this cover. Hey JGR, thought you would post some updates on your chassis...

Just went poking around on ebay and there is another cover just like the one I bought for less money. Has a few damaged fins on a corner. As near as I can figure only Speedway Engineering made this particular style #5160 . It would also appear that quick change rears using the 6 bolt mounting pattern as shown on this cover , are the same .

I would also assume the bottom wings are to hold extra fluid. The bottom would have to be tapped for pipe thread plug in order to drain it easily. It would also need to have a vent pipe installed to take away the pressure build up. 90 degree fitting and hose to a small filter. Very trick looking on early cars model T & A or early 32 and down chevys without stock gas tank .

Well need to custom make motor mounts now these that were on car wont allow any chance of the steering box mounting. They need to go on top of frame so Matt will lay out some custom ones and plasma cut them then we can actually work on getting steering box mounted. Also will need to make the steering arms so I can put the cross steer in. But at least the frame and rear suspension is done other than from firewall forward .

  18. @jgrohio glad to see you're using a Chevy rear end. I kept my 33 Chevy all GM. Nice work!

other alternative would be to mount rack and pinion steering for rear mount steering. Kugel komponents uses an dodge OMNI rack, 4 turns lock to lock , power assist not needed. Traditionally early Chevrolets , pre 40 , use a side drag link style with a mustang steering box mounted on outside of the frame . Clean and simple.

Cross steer is ford frame style.

I'll make the vega power steering box work, just need to make some new motor mounts and get geometry correct for my cross steer. Don't want to put any Ford in car, I bust Ford guys balls for running SBC too often LOL .

Hey guys, there's a fellow hamb member on here who is taking the drive to purchase my hot rod Chevy dropped axle next week. He just purchased a nice '34 Chevy 3 window coupe, mentioning that the car is the Master series. Anyone have an extra trunk lid they're willing to part with? 34 Chevy 3 Window Coupe.jpg
