Fitted the new lower b-pillar brackets. I got these from Steve at SAR, traded an extra set of trunk hinges for them.

Spent the morning drilling the hinge pins out of the doors in preparation for attaching them to the b-pillars. I ended up having to remove four of the hinges from the doors and straighten them out on the press. [IMG]

Once the hinges were sorted, did some adjusting of the gap (sanding the wood) and installed the hinges on the b-pillar

Finished mounting the hinges on the second b-pillar. The door tins that came with the car are very nice except the bottom 8 inches. I made a template and bent the new bottoms.

Gave all the bare metal a quick coat of primer and assembled everything.

I do also, but I’ve been thinking lately that I’d like a project that came with the doors on.

Looks good Bjorn, thanks for the '32 shocks I installed them last week on the '32 roadster chassis after I aged them some to match my original chassis

Thanks, glad they worked out for you. I’ve been jumping around between projects...worked on my 32 today, but it’s not H.A.M.B. friendly so no thread.

Worked on the top bows and dome light mount. Was able to use the four door bows and mount as a template and scale them down a little.

You are one lucky guy to have your father and have him helping you build one nice hot rod. 2d2bcaa2dd4df2d7d9d0e57aa9211611.jpg

Thanks, I’m back at it for a couple months...but I have several projects, so this one doesn’t get full time.

  23. That’s one interesting bit of engineering on that shifter, does it work well? If it does, might have to steal that idea :–)

Nah... you're thinking of TROG. That combo is completely HAMB friendly!!! A LOT of cars on here have overdrive transmissions... since they're hidden.

I love the shifter too! I hope it works out for ya!
