Well I caved in and decided I'll throw a four speed in it. Got another Ansen scattershield off the shelf. Going to get it in and set then finish up the rear rend work here soon. When you need weight in the back anything will do right? Even 5 gallon buckets of water and old generators and starters.

The only thing missing in this was the 4 speed, and it made my heart happy to see that you have caved in and bit the bullet! This is gonna be a killer hot rod!

Finally got the rear end angle and everything set. Tacked everything together so it's ready for the jig. And a pic of the new trans. Bye bye auto.

Next step somehow getting Exhaust wedged in there. I want to run long zoomie style to the end of the running board. But muffle them somehow. I've heard the steel wool, washers and baffle ideas. Anyone have any more insight to the subject

I hope you're planning on bringing it to this year's Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption Drags in Toutle, WA. Would love to see it in person! That hemi sounds wicked.

More progress. Seat mounts built and in. Fuel and brake lines in. Stewart Warner blue gauges mocked up. Firewall building and off to exhaust

And some more with it at the exhaust shop. They are doing it just right. 2.25” primaries with 4” collectors. 4” electric cutouts and 3 1/2” exhaust out the side of the running board in front of the rear tire

That Hemi sounds Nasty!!! Looks like you’re going to be ready for Vintiques this year.

I was a 'teen when I got my '34 Five window...it was red, full fendered, with a five-sixteenths by quarter 59L. Sat very near identical to yours, but for a '40 rear and reversed '49 Merc wheels, tires just under the fenders.
Bought it from a good bud, he used to get tired of cars in a month.
Somehow, I never felt like the car was really 'mine'. Sold it to finish my '32.
