Thanks @Rikster already my donation to the CCC is paying for itself. I’d like to encourage other members of the H.AM.B. to support The CCC. The history on your site is incredible, and if your a Custom history buff(as myself) it’s a valued resource. Thanks—-Later! Lou

Having just finished reading jivin jers thread on his (and Son’s)recreation of the Jr. Conway Coupe. I was surprised to learn that the original Coupe ended up being scrapped here in Western Pennsylvania, in the 60’s. My favorite the Duane Steck “Moonglow” met a similar fate in California. I’m sure that creating history wasn’t the thought behind these builds, but now 60 years later we appreciate their work. At least we still have examples like Andy’s Coupe, and a big thanks to the younger generation for restoring it for our enjoyment.

  9. Well shucks. Sad I missed you. We did the HF Thursday and the GM Heritage center yesterday. Have a safe trip home and see you in Indy....where it’s easier to find people (and more customs )

The Coupe that I’m referring to, can be found @post#8681 2/28 page#869. StrayKat this topic is moving so fast we’re almost in the triple digits. Where’s our fire extinguisher.

  14. Oh man! What a bummer. Pretty much at a show, I drop my car and wander off. Not generally one to sit by the car and listen to the “pros” tell their companions all their vast “knowledge.” Lol

Though built for racing, Holman and Moody's chopped and sectioned (3"x3") '62 Falcon, (Edit), "Challenger ",
toured with the Ford Custom Car Caravan.

Here is a great shot of the custom bodywork underway; showing the section job, as well as the wooden buck for hand forming the aluminum fastback.
