A friend of mine just gave me a free Wei and 2x4 setup. It came equipped with 9410 Carter's. They have never seen gas. It needs a good cleaning but hey it was free. It will be going on my T bucket project. Sent from my VS995 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

I try offering him some money. I did buy him a beer. He said he wants to see it used. It has been sitting under his bench for 20+ years. Sent from my VS995 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I like the carter carbs. Those look like they can be cleaned up and will be OK. east to adjust fuel with the metering rods without having to pull the carb all apart. If it bogs increase tension on the air valve plate above the secondary throttle.
Probably should think about replacing the accerator pumps to something that will object less to alcohol laced gasoline. Will the pumps sold by Edelbrock work as replacements? Sent from my Nexus 7 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The original Carter pumps should be leather, totally impervious to ethanol. If they are dried out, a few drops of light machine oil (3n1, sewing machine oil, neetsfoot oil, etc.) should rejuvenate them. Don't replace them with any of the new plastic stuff. Jon.
