Thanx mikey. I built the motor last summer. It’s a 498 with AFR oval port heads, Howard’s SR cam, 10.5 compression so it’ll run on 93 octane. Figured beats the hell outta paying $9 per gallon for 110!

You nailed the stance and tire fit, now the motor sounds mean and nasty, and the tilt front end is great. I think this is by far my favorite early '50s Chevy gasser.

Thanx again for the support guys! It is 70 degrees here in Akron today so figured it was a good day to take some vacation and work on the car. Got the epoxy all scuffed down and if everything goes as planned it’ll be in polyester tonight!

Success! Now ready for some sanding. The Z chrome laid down pretty smooth so i'm gunna try blocking 180 straight thru. If that doesn't work out i'll cut it with 120 first..

You are making good progress. The block sanding takes some serious time to get right. Makes the difference between an ok paint job and a real paint job.

    Thanx Greg!
Got the majority of the body blocked this weekend. Still need to block the deck lid and fix a few small spots then on to some urethane!

The puke yellow poly primer is incentive to get it in paint. The '57 was stuck in that color for years.
