For some reason, the cream reminds me of those big old Pebble Beach cars. Go with the maroon since your chrome guy probably closed shop and retired with how much he made off you.

Starting to look like a car...a show car but a car none the less.

I like the tan body against the maroon frame.

And here is shot against the firewall. I got a lot of work to do but I'm glad to be this far along.

I ought to put that on a t-shirt. It's starting to resemble a car. I got a long way to go from a "first drive" post like @flynbrian48 but it's promising.

I just realized the firewall picture didn't load. I still have to build the lines from the remote reservoir to the M/C and the fuel line from the regulator to the filter.

The moose does nice work! I was of a Burrel wood grain. But after seeing the all Maroon dash I am leaning in that direction. it is a tough decision. I am glad you will have to make that decision. From what I have seen so far you will make the right choice.

Maybe you already know this, but if you go with the wood grain on the dash check out the different patterns available with hydro dipping.

Yes, very true. I even went as far as calling Juliano's and they told me the pattern number they used on my steering wheel and shift knob in case I go that direction. Those people are awesome! Not cheap but worth every penny in my opinion.

Play that funky music white boy!
Here's some funk from my 34 junk, column back in the car. I said before the guys at flaming river are awesome. That drop is cut for a 32 dash in my 34 ford and it works perfect. FR had to pull parts from several products to make this for me. My thanks and gratitude for their effort and cooperation.

Installed the sound deadening, some high end stuff from a local stereo shop. And it matched the car's paint...just sayin.
    upload_2018-2-27_21-33-56.png
The M/C cover is counter sunk into the sound mat so it will not be noticeable below the carpet. Note the counter sunk screw holess that secure the cover.

The steering link fell into place, the result of a lot of engineering a year ago.
Oh yes, Play that funky music right!

How did I not see this? And how did I not realize you were in Vancouver? Fantastic job! I spent the last 2 nights reading every post from the beginning. Really enjoying what you're doing, and I hope to see it in person one day!

You shall Tim. I would love to be able to drive it a bit this summer so I'm putting in a lot of hours in the garage after work every night to that end. Everything on the car that I didn't do myself was done locally so this is a home grown 'couve mobile.

My hands look like I lost a fight with Edward Scissor Hands. Between the foil on the sound deadener, the box knife and the inside of the doors I am glad I clot well. I hope it was worth the Pain!
    upload_2018-2-28_21-19-27.png
I ran out...of blood, and deadener so I had to give up for the night. I'm going to have some juice and crackers and get back at it tomorrow.

If the Red Cross had your kind of "juice" I'd give blood every day!

  23. Wow....just some really nice work! I'd be scared to death to actually drive this piece of jewelry. Super nice, Billy.

As others have, I applaud your ability to plan ahead. With the color you painted the car, once the blood dries no one will know it's there. Should blend right in.

Thanks Rocky. I have a tendency to over build, over restore, over detail my builds...no, no it's true.
I really enjoy driving my cars but I have to admit I get satisfaction in the evening, with the stereo on, a drink in hand, polishing and detailing my cars on the lift. It's a sickness that I know no cure for.
Funny you said that, If I have bled on the paint I haven't noticed it yet but I did have to scrape off some dried blood from the chrome pedals. It looked really cool, like a candy apple transparent red.
I totally concur. I think Summit should sell liquor so when I get my parts I don't have to stop by the store on my way home.
