Great drag illustrator, artist and photograher Tom west has passed away.
He was a very nice and very talented guy.Met him years ago, a pleasure to talk to.
RIP Tom. Here's an example of his work.

If this is the Macinac bridge i walked across there a long time ago. Fudge just around the corner on the Island.

 

Yep....you can walk across the Big Mac on Labor Day. They close off one side to open it up for pedestrians. I have walked that one and the Golden Gate bridge.

 

Great , then that grey mass inside my head still works OK . Damn that was creepy walking over those snow grates, it,s a long way down. I remember a big hotrod cruise there as well. I have all the pics somewhere up in the attic. One car i remember well was a '30 or '32 coupe in metallic blue with big Elvis airbrush theme on the sides .

 

They just opened the bridge to traffic.... Was shut down for about last
20 hours..... Ice was falling off the cables... 3rd time in few months.....

 

I was given an old photo album by a customer who knew about my passion with old cars. The family owned a frame and alignment shop in the Bay Area, Redwood City I think. Coolest thing is most of these pictures are identified and dated. Also in chronological order showing the shop though 30+years.

OUCH! My neck hurts from twisting it to see those last few photos....

 

Yeah, saw that too after I posted. When I have some more time I’ll get back to it and start posting the photos separately.
Not sure if I should post them all, there’s an entire album. I suppose I could stop when the dates get past the mid 60s to keep in line with forum rules. Still would be a lot of photos.
