Great story evolving here. Attention to details are very evident. Thanks for sharing your personal journey. Sport Coupes are a great base for a Hotrod.

Beautiful work. The Rivets look great! Where are the self adjusting parts for the brakes?

 

WOW! That is one nice solid body, always liked the Sport Coupe. Nice chassis detail work, full hood looks great. Bob

 

This car was converted to pick up during the war for gas rations. We had to made a new decklid and lower panel.

 

Ok, What is the deal on the two different height panels below the deck lid? Bob

 

That my friend is for you to figure out. It was necessary to fit the 32 gas tank.

 

The faux finish on the lid and lower panel are a dead on match with the rest of the car, nicely done, that was part of the confusion. Bob

 

Those p/u trunk kits were sold by Sears & Roebuck in the day. Made a coupe more useful out on the farm.
Anxious to see what you're going to do with the top.

 

I don't know what it is about clean metal and rivets, always catches my eye. (Weird I know)

This project is off to a great start, will be watching................

A couple of update pictures . I decided to use Model A tie rod ends with Haze City bungs. They look great and I’m really happy with the look!

 

Like the leather dust covers, are they something you made special? Redneck steering arm, not too much. Bob

 

Matt from Haze city specialties made them. He now works for Walden’s.

Wow, my coupe was like that when I found it.

 

How many inches did you chop the top?

 

It was chopped 2 inches.

 

Awesome. Love the pics. What wheels are those? And what are you going to be doing for a top?

 

The wheels are Plymouth and I plan on running the car open top for now. Thank you
