to be accurate I would think you would have to find somewhere on the panels where a cut was started and measure that width... some things (like a cutting wheel) are going to remove a lot more metal than others.... then space your gaps accordingly

That's quite a score and 3W that you have there. What do you plan to do with it? Are you going to finish the previous owner's restoration, or?

The coupe will be a hot rod, I've tried, but I'm just not a stock guy. Full fenders, no chop, nice stance the color will be black or a light metallic blue. I have no intentions to cut this car up, however it will probably get a modified firewall. I have mixed feelings about the drivetrain. I really like the idea of a stroker Y-block or an early Cadillac, manual trans and a quick change. Or maybe keep the 21 stud... The second owner of this car had started to hot rod it. He filled one cowl light and made Tuck and Roll door panels and kick panels. He only had the car for a very short time but from what I was told; he was the one that sanded the paint down. The seat was also re-upholstered but I think this was done by the original owner.

  11. Send it up to me under the North South Cultural Exchange Program. The car will get to experience life up here in Canada. I'll send down a car who will get to experience the culture of America.

Here is a five window for sale at the recent Portland swap meet - shows the unrestored 33-34 Ford coupes are still out there. Thanks to Hamber Duncan for the pic. IMG_3735.JPG

Some update on the SAR 34 3W. New 350 crate motor and 700R4. Sold the heads and installed a pair of 202/160's, Crane cam and 3310 Holley. Just installed new SAR fenders, Drake grille and running boards. Made my own shifter for the Limeworks column. I have a filler panel coming for the roof and a Glide bench seat. Still needs a lot of tweaking on the fit of the front end.

Chad - that looks like it had an earlier life as a channeled hot rod. Good score! What are your plans for it?

Yes sir.. good eye.. it was an old channled hot rod back in the day that never got finished .. plans call for a 2" channel . No chop..stock style roof filler. black paint.. chrome dropped axle.. chrome reverse wheels... white tuck'n'roll upholstery with black piping... pretty basic build.. probably a dressed up small block ford with dual carbs and finned covers just for simplicity.

Nope! Still taking up too much space for my 34 parts in the building lol! Even though they're ragged they're still cool to look at though! 20180812_070050.jpeg 20180811_120817.jpeg
