I wasn't sure I know some of them are all a little different. Good luck with your search. I like odd ball cars and sometimes the parts are hard to find and new not even available.

I have gotten incredible repairs on rotten gas tanks using POR15s tank sealer

Thought about an early Mustang tank. Would have to cut cut out the trunk floor, drop it in an screw down the flange. It would fit. Did the Tbird tank fit with the filler outlet in the right place?

yes, he said he didn't have to do anything to it. He said the Ford one with the sender would probably work too

I going to go with ford, lincoln,Mercury didn’t make too many mechanical (driveline)parts different for each car line. Not good business sense. 53-54 merc and ford share mech/body parts from the doors back aside from exterior trim and specialty-options. I would be surprised if the fuel tank was different on a lincoln.
I’m actually using a 55 ford tank on my 54 merc (1/2 the price of the 54 tank) with a minor modification on the fuel tube
    Good luck, hope I helped

Old thread but I thought I would ask anyway. What tank did you end up using for your 54 Lincoln & did the filler neck fit? Any mods?
