    Fixing the floor edges. I just tacked some new metal in and started to gas weld them . Ran out of time

    I love finding someone braver than I - here's my '34 Stude 4-dr that needs to become a 5-w coupe. I have put it on pause and picked up a '34 Terraplane that actually IS a coupe for now, so I can drive it to Speed Week 70th in August, but I'll Be Back! 34Studestatus011518- 004.jpg

    Rear belt line. The 35 had too much of an arch .

    Me to! ya that’s the way it was done in early 50s with wet strips of asbestos both sides of the weld.

    Or asbestos in a tube like toothpaste. Squeeze out two lines above and below the weld area. Works pretty good.

    Buddy got some stuff at his work... spray can... spray it all around your weld area... heat turns it to a jell...
    it pulls the heat from the metal... he told me what it was and showed me the can...you think I can remember what it is... ?

    Cut down and chopped up the 35 ford sail panels/belt lines to match 33/34 ford
