I think this has been around for quite some time perhaps 2007ish

    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/greg-lazzerinis-roadster.550799/

If not the same Hotrod it may be an offshoot of the former...certainly the same builder...

Thanks for the info Stogy, with the wire wheels it looks more European influenced but the steelies give it the American hot rod vibe. Either way its pretty tasty!

Wow, that ugly little thing has a lot of charm. I dug around and found some info on it. Yes, that IS a Crosley body on a Model A frame.

It was apparently built as a rail dragster and raced in 1950 by Otto Ryssman & Tiny Conkle. It's a lengthened Model A frame with a Flathead sitting near the rear end.

I think this is what it looks like under the Crosley skin when it started evolving:

I can appreciate all the effort. Personally if I was vested in all that work I would want it to come out more like a Chris Craft or such mahogany boat, more class.

Nice to see landmarks still surviving...

I remember that car from an old 'Cruise at Lew's'. I may have some pix, but they're in storage.

The story is at the link posted right beneath the pic. You are correct there was an auxiliary engine to run the blower.

Garage below this is a quote from the thread on the Lazzerini roadster talking of the motive power and other. There may have also been mag articles since.

There is a video and pics on the instagram link and it does indeed have a tri powered flathead...

I'd love to see some of those races again. That is a cool car.
