For anyone in the WA area, this is a sale I found on estatesales.net. Not only is there a hardtop Galaxie 500 coupe, but a real, steel, seemingly unmolested '41 Willy's. Just passing along an amazing find, since I'll likely be unable to attend the sale.

  6. And dishes, damn I am a sucker for dishes. And bar signs, someone go and see if they have a neon restroom sign for me.

Lots of cool cars actually. Love the Lincoln.

Another thing I was wondering seeing I have no knowledge of this selling co. if they are going to accept more live bids after they open up the sealed bids at 2:00 seeing it runs to 3:00 that day?

I'm going to try to stop by the sale, tomorrow, if I get off work in time...see what's still left.

    Would the 7 Liter Fairlane be a 427 or a 428?
It seems to me that the ad indicates bidders cannot come on the property to inspect the lots they will be bidding on, which seems kind of odd.

I've never heard of that website either, so someone might get a good deal.

From the looks of the badges and the power brakes I'd say 428

Saw the link to the classifieds last week. As much as I would love an original steel Willys Coupe as anyone, paying what some people have been paying for one seems outrageous and crazy. Especially if it's got a rust in areas not easy to fix and you can't inspect the vehicle before bidding.

Has either the willys or the 7 Litre sold yet or are they on tomorrow’s schedule ? Sale price’s on them are what many of us are curious of , especially with the weird rules of inspection

I stopped by on Friday. I live just a few blocks from this place.
That Willy’s was roached! The areas that looked ok were just clad in body filler. You feel behind the filler and the metal was mostly gone.
Sure, someone could save it. But for the amount of work it would take.
    Why?

I stopped by, this afternoon. The Willy's was rough (looked better in the pics). Still a cool car, but the amount of work that it would have to have would def. be a job. The Galaxie looked pretty nice, but it did have some rust in the quarters. To me, it looked better than the pics. Both of those were sold and in the process of being hauled out when I got there. The International seen in a few of the pics was gone (passed it on a trailer). I don't think anybody picked up the white Continental, or the other car (black 4 door), as it was almost completely trashed. The Bug looked to be sold, too. All in all, a wasted trip to see a few cars (I bought nothing at the sale).

  21. The Galaxie didn't have the 428 in it, it had a 352.

I heard they were asking $4000.00 for that bug. Still no idea what the Willy’s went for but am curious. Not much else available for a car guy. Even arriving Friday morning. Most of the cool stuff we would like was sold already.
Lots and lots and lots of brick a brack and Hustler magazines though!

It went for 35000. Can’t wait to see what it becomes.

$35,000? For the rusted out Willys?

    Incredible.

    Holy crap!
Well, I’m sure at that price. It won’t sit around too long without something being done with it.
Must be a true talented enthusiast to fork out that kind of cash for it.
