That's how I did mine on my '50, but luckily it was a shorter reach.

  5. Thank you! I am very blessed to have them in my life. And yes that was my wife in one of the pictures.
Family life has been keeping me very busy lately so unfortunately I haven’t made any progress on the car. I might have some time to get it cleaned up and put some more stainless on it tomorrow. I’ll post up pictures if I do.

I was actually able to get some more stainless installed a few weeks ago and took it out for a cruise last night.

    I love your hubcaps!!!!;)

  9. Thank you. That’s what I’m going for. I always thought spotlights and lake pipes would end up on this car, but I’m glad I kept it clean and smooth without.

    Thank you!

Love this car cant wait to see it painted Travis! I dont know if it was said but this car was in a big wreck in its life and is now made of 2 cars and because of this nothing fits right. It was rebuilt some time ago because it is all gas welded together just means more time to finesse fitment of panels and some more blocking but that purple will pop!

  12. looking good. what coating on the bumpers?

I'm with you on the pipes and spots, too much jewelry. All you have to do is forget to move the spotlights one time before opening the hood and you get damage.

Here is a Victoria I built about 8 years ago.

The cars have a lot of the same touches, but come off totally different.

  20. Thank you! I just talked to my body and paint guy today. Looks like he’ll have some time for me in a month! Hopefully it will be painted and put back together before Viva.
Yes we always knew it had been in an accident but don’t have any details, just the tell tale signs.

  21. Thanks. The bumpers were just stripped and sand blasted by my chrome shop. I just keep a coating of Gibbs on them to stop rust until it’s time to have them chromed.

  26. I have been struggling with what to do with mine. I have done a bunch of metal work on mine and I am at a cross roads, Chrome is so expensive and I don't want to go weeks with out a bumper.

Would it be worth it for you to find another bumper to run while yours is being redone?

  28. Spray it down with Gibbs. As long as you keep up with it, it will protect it very well. I’ve gone months without any maintenance and they’ve been fine.

  29. Kids and work have been my main focus for the last 2 years so progress on the car has been slow.
I should be getting the dash painted today. It’s been a long slow process. My body guy has been busy, then when he did shoot it the first time, there was a bad reaction and it had to be blasted to bare metal again.
I’ll post up pictures when I can. Pretty excited to see some color on this thing.
