From Classic and Custom August of 82

 

Ford only built one, but there was a guy for a while selling fiberglass reproductions, primarily as a Batmobile copy, but he did offer the Futura trim (or most of it) if you wanted to build a clone. Copyright infringement over the Batmobile got him shut down... This looks like one of his copies. He never got any measurements off the actual car, he scaled his copy off photos so there's lots of little detail differences.

When I saw it posted on Facebook by the new owner, he stated that the car was built in the 80's or maybe 90's and was not one from back in the day, so what are the odds that its not the same car?

 

I'm thinking it is the same car. The chop looks right and the fender skirts look the same.

This '64 ford was an A-Bros. entry in the ford "Custom car Caraven".

For those who are unaware, in the early sixties FMC commissioned the nation's top customizers to modify their latest offerings for national tours, billed as the 'Custom Car Caravan'. (Factory sponsorship was also a big factor in drag racing at the time.)
