So it been a long process to get this car but I have been a member now for almost a year and have read tons of discussion and bought a good amounts of parts from here. So I original joined because I was building a AV8 tudor sedan!! But a friend of mine called me and told me he was selling his 33 ford five window coupe well I caved and scraped up the money and now I am a proud owner. I appreciate alot of the guys on here and there advice to other people really made purchasing this car a breeze. Anyways my plan for her is like some other on here I want to race her in wildwood next summer in june!! So wish me luck and let the games aka project begin!!![IMG][IMG][IMG]

Better send in your photos of the car, with plans on how it will look at race time with a request for an entry now if you want to race there as the slots fill up fast and they are damned particular about the entries. Car should have the look and fit in but the entry list is usually filled up within a couple of days of when they open it up. For the one at Pismo Beach the entries filed up within hours.

Thanks everyone I am totally excited... I will be asking alot of questions... the car came with paperwork back to 1935 but I was curious how do u determine which door is 1933 middle handle or front handle inside?

What a great start you've got there, even the tires look as if they aired up OK. Should be able to disintegrate those slicks after all those years!

Nice! Looks like a great start. It does look like a 33 for sure, the lower hood latch and no indents on top of cowl for hood rest. The doors also as they have the narrow "B" pillar. They probably do not have the stamped recesses inside to even put the center remote handle latches on, the forward handle latches only have a recess in the top forward corner inside.

You may want to align the front wheels though.:D:D:D Great looking body, I just love 33, 34 Fords. Do you have the fenders?

Great start...do you have two '33 doors? (left & right) or at least, two matching '34 doors?
Glad to have another '33 pilot aboard.

No fenders and the front king pins were replaced with 3/8 ratchet extensions when I picked it up. When I got home I found the old king pins covered in rat shit. My main concern is going to be the body gotta dustless blasting coming out to do the chassis and the body!!!

It does look like you have one of each, do they both have the narrow B pillar? The wider B pillar would have the window that slides back and rolls down.

Awesome start! Welcome to the Model 40 Coupe club. You have a 33 with 33 doors (as 34 doors had the "smokers vent" fairing at the hinge side window pillar) and 34 grille. One of the doors is a mid year change where the door handle location was moved middle to front. There's well over 50 differences in 33 and 34's, most being minor. Major/most obvious ones being hood and grille.
