But I sure wish that I’d bought the one my brother Bob had and you redid, as that Tub was the one!!!!! C34ECB61-720D-4F7A-AD7A-A64DC3190D59.png

Thank you everyone! I’m getting excited as it gets closer to looking like a car

I also picked up some other goodies to eventually go on the car. If anyone has a choke horn for a Winfield SR-BB carb, please let me know

  8. From what @Cyclone Kevin mentioned above, was it you that owned/own the tub with the surfboard? I have pictures of it that I saved from the Ford Barn a while back as inspiration. Do you remember what size rear tires you put on it? I like the way they fill the fenders.

Alchemy, he knew the louvers are backwards, but they should work fine as long as I drive in reverse

Better cooling as they work as owner derived “Ram Air” ;). I’d run it!!!!! It’s a helluva conversation piece.

If you’ve got some hi-res pix, zoom in on the rears and see if you can make em out.
I’d guess that Tim ran 7:00-16’s to fill those wells. It did our PRC RR in 2010.

Who says those bangers can’t hang?
This one and the T-Tub that Tim followed this up with were fantastic Hot Rods that have lived many lives before. I rode in both at different places in time.

  14. I don't have any high-res pictures, but from what I can see, they look like a high floatation or balloon tire, as opposed to the 7.00 - 16 Firestones that I have. Course, it could just be the picture being deceptive. Thanks for the input though!

I’ve been working on wiring the engine, getting the battery tray installed, and bracing the body. A bunch of little but necessary projects. No exciting pictures

It runs!! I hooked up the torque tube and drove it down the street. It stalled and didn’t want to start again. The carb was bone dry, so I think I have a clog in the gas line. I’m chasing that down now, but it drove and stopped for a minute.[IMG]

I pulled the tank and derusted the inside. While it was off, I cleaned up some dents and painted some cowl parts.
    One step closer to driving...

    Phae tons of fun.
Modified a minivan seat to fit up front, made a tail light bracket and working on headlight mount that I like.
