Ray, my boy, you never cease to amaze me!
I went up to "Abones" Sunday and almost considered a visit, but didn't want to mess up your family time ( like I did before, lol)
Project is looking great! I'm booked for the beach and ready to watch 'er go!

 

Had the opportunity a couple days ago to see the tank in person, this thing is great! Ray has a way of making the difficult look easy. Super clean frame and chassis work. Tidy body mounts and a well thought out build.
Ray even demonstrated how to shape metal during our visit-Ray Prue everybody-

Did you steal this idea from a P-47?

Just add in a bunch little glass panes and you’ll be ready to shoot your adversaries down.

Very Kool! Looks like an old racer in a cars movie. Just need big eyes in the windshield area.

Very cool build! I need to keep in touch with this one. Just acquired a V860 this last week at GNRS, came out of a Midget and I have been kicking around ideas as to what to do with it. Belly Tank was one of the ideas. Now I just need a tank, some "extra" time and a few other projects out of the way.
Great job! Keep it up!

 

LOL! I was thinking what a driver! Doing it all by feel, but now I see what you plan on doing for a windshield.

I love this tank. If I built one it'd have to be road legal. I have an unlimited Autobahn go right past my shop so I could Vmax it whenever I wanted.

Did you ever read" How to build a Belly Tanker" by Tom Beaty 1952
