What ever color you choose, it should be a very heavy paint!! Definitly with lead in it. It might slow ya down a bit but......

  5. It is a scientifically proven fact that MOPAR colors are worth 1/2 10th!

Yes. 100% true for a lot of us.

I should have built a gasser. Damn. After I missed a fiberglass nose, those dreams fell apart.

A lot of lower class tri-5 gassers were all steel. Just weld the front clip together and tilt it.

I’m not 100% sure what these doors are, dad got them from a buddy. But the rest is fiberglass unlimited and just like my 57 the glass is a little rough, but light. And the price is right.

AC1D51B3-918A-4CE5-85F5-DD3051314FD4.jpeg We got the steering done, had to swap the tie rod to the rear so the Ackerman was correct with the arms, but now everything looks good and should work. Next up is changing the outriggers, fixing the quarters, and getting the body out of the way so we can finish weld the cage, ladder bar crossmember, etc.

It’s 1970-71 Ford grabber orange. I think it’ll look good on dads 55.

Free paint is always good. I have 2 gallons of about the same color that was free. I also have a gallon of candy apple red. Thought about 2 tone and see how it looks together.

Cann’t Resist some comments on yellow cars. Bright yellow can attract bugs in my area, crazy to walk up to car & find tons of little back bugs all over. Park some shades yellow on grass & take on a green tint - ugly. I go to farm hardware store & buy cheap “caterpillar bulldozer” yellow- a mustard tint yellow that I think looks great & can always match. Pretty close to Mustang 17 above.

Looks good Zak, you know the old motto, “if it’s free, it’s for me”.
