Hot Rods Definitive Deuce Headlight Placement Thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by lothiandon1940, Jan 22, 2018.

  1. I don't have a 32.:( I just have my opinion. I've always liked a big set of, Oh Yeah Headlights! But I don't care for bra's. I also think they look cool low. But all cars aren't the same. So there's never a sit rule. Except that you do them to suit yourself. I'm building a Drag T Coupe. It will look better without any headlights, or a radiator. So the radiator will be in the trunk, and the headlights will be a simple plug in and off, for street use. Here's a sketch of the way I like'em.;) 009.jpg This is a great picture thread. So keep'em coming! :) Thanks Ron...

Uh, oh! A dropped bar slipped in there on the Bill Woodard Roadster built in the late ‘50’s- early 1960. I wonder if the other guys just didn’t know how to drop a h/l bar for a Deuce BITD, with no aftermarket to do it for them.

Fenderless, this is about perfect right here. Small and low (below the tops of the front tires), and placed with the lens just in front of the grill, not too far forward, not too far back.

I like them all, but prefer dropped. I know its not a Duece, but I would love find a dropped headlight bar for my 31 Chevy. They just don't exist. Thought about cutting and flipping an original, but not sure how that would workout. Wide open for suggestions....
