As long as you are volunteering paint jobs my Morris is primed and blocked and I have the paint. I won't be able to get to it for at least 4 months or when the doctor's release me to get back to work.
Cold weather slowed down progress a little but dad still picked up a set of fiberglass doors for his car and we got the rear ended narrowed to where we wanted it and everything is finish welded on it. Gonna work on locating and mounting the engine this weekend and then hopefully get the quarter patches put in and get the body off to get primed and smoothed up.
The engine is mounted. Ended up with 9 inches setback and can still get the magneto in and out. And the engine is low enough so we won’t have to run a good scoop with the enderle injection. Next up is mounting the steering box and the steering will be done. Cut up an old set of headers to see how they’re gonna fit. The header kit should be here today so we can start building headers soon too.

Got the steering box mounted and the drag link shortened and threaded. Had to mount the box on the spring perch on the front but it worked out.
Still a little ways away, but these are the two colors dads considering for his 55 Chevy. 67 Chevy royal plum, or goodwood green? What say y’all?
i like the 54 Chevy sea foam green. maybe two tone with a white top. i like old school/original colors on a gasser.
Well that’s why we’re picking 60s colors. That way it’s feasably period correct. Like my 57 is 64 Ford Wimbledon white.
My Uncle Doug's 55 back in the late 60's was a similar dark green and looked really cool but I think the plum would give a more custom look. It was a color you did not see often back then. Green was on everything. Nice fab work so far. Larry
Royal Plum looks good,a friends' 67 Nova 327/275 HP 4 speed is that color, original paint. Another friend had a Royal Plum original paint 67 Malibu L79 4 speed wagon. Though, on a Corvette that Goodwood Green is my favorite color. Either would look good on your 55 Zak.
If those are the only two colors you're considering, I wud go with the Goodwood Green. I believe you have more choices of complementary colors with it for window tint, lettering, pinstriping, etc. I'm not so sure about green being on everything back in the '60s, certainly in my area it wasn't. There were a lot of primary colors, along with black and white.
