  7. That has to be my fave of the group. Wonder what it would look like fenderless and with cycle fenders?

    That's what she said.

  11. This will be my first photoshop request. THANKS in advance :)

I have a 52 Stude pickup that has been in white epoxy primer for years.
I have also acquired a home made Stude truck bed trailer that matches my truck except that it is in bad shape and needs extensive repair.
I found this better truck & trailer picture on a google search that would make a better photoshop starting point.
I would like to see, for inspiration sake, what my rig would look like when it nears completion.
I plan to use some 1951 stude wheelcovers I have which resemble moon style covers with a Stude crest on them. pic below... or I could use smooth moons.
I would like to know what my trailer with 8 ft bed (I think the pic looks short-bed 6-1/2ft) would look like behind my white Stude truck which looks like the picture.
I am curious about the looks with flat tonneau bed covers on both, and whether it, or they, would look good with a fiberglass truck bed topper on them. or not. possible cool color suggestions, or if my white primer is cool enough.
Any help is very much appreciated.

a rig that looks like mine after I fix the trailer.

The wheelcovers I have. smooth is ok too.

The white primer color of my truck at a recent 50s event. Will probably be the main color of both for quite a while as I work on the project.

Thank you very much for ideas!

or maybe a google side shot would make a better starting point for truck and trailer photoshop work....???

  15. AWESOME!
I'm more inspired to keep on going with the project at a faster pace.
    THANKS for the inspiration!

EDITED - I am now thinking about starting a build thread for this truck and trailer.
A Decision to make.... I can't do a whole lot until the weather allows me to work outside, since my garage is overflowing.
I dono if it would be better to start a thread in March or April, or to start one now that won't show a lot of progress at all until Spring.
If I'm asked, I'll start the build thread now.
If no one's curious, I'll bore you with it later :)

Hopefully by the time it's warm enough out i'll be ready to start on bodywork. can someone make my car the same color as this OT nova? chrome the rims, or made them body color as well. Thanks!

Wow, think that or similar would be a great color choice, Seems I remember seeing original 57 pontiacs about that color, may have been chevys too???

There was laurel green on 56 and 57 chevys but it's not near as vibrant. Pontiac had "limefire green" which is the same color if i'm not mistaken. I'm thinking of doing the car all one color, no white or cream top. Most of the pictures i've found of 57s in that color have full disk hubcaps and a yellow top, not steel wheels and a green top.

Hi Guys, I am looking for some ideas. I am fixing my fenders spots above my headlights and since I have to paint the fenders and maybe the hood, I'm thinking of adding scallops on the fenders tops, and maybe the hood to match the roof and am struggling to figure it out. Also may consider a full body 2 tone. Can someone match the silver roof color to the bottom area below the stainless. I'm open to your ideas. feel free to offer all suggestions. thank you much

  20. I added some glass to give you a better idea of the final appearance..... I could clean up bumpers if you want.
