  3. It still runs. When gas got to $4 she parked it right where its setting. We have talked about adding power steering ,air cond and a set of longer legged rear gears in it. She commonly hauled 6500 pounds of feed in it. one time they miscounted on the load and she had 7500 pounds. I once for my daily 60 thru 66 trucks 008.JPG 60 thru 66 trucks 009.JPG drove a 66 camper special that had factory air power steering 327 engine and turbo 400 three speed transmission. a 83 year old woman who was drunk crossed the center line and hit me head on and totaled it out.

victory, a new page of truck coverage! The extra cab railroad rig is off the hook, had never seen one of these, thanx for sharing this. The gas filler job o the "Bourbon" is ultra trick. I lust for some parts off all those sittin in the weeds units. Thanx kids for more truck porn. We had our first snow today, c'mon spring.

Here's a shot of a '62 GMC Suburban that I've been working on for my dad. We lowered it via a square body front suspension swap, along with an O/T engine swap. I just took the first drive with the new chassis and engine last night, so I'll hopefully be buttoning it back up soon.

I also updated the interior with a '67-72 automatic column, and some Classic Instruments G-Stock gauges for complete monitoring of the truck.

This '65 C10 was my pride and joy! I spent 10 years collecting parts, involving 3 parts trucks and 1 1/2 years of work every day to finish it. I was blessed to enjoy it for about 3 weeks, until a Big Caterpillar front end loader turned in front of me while I was passing him. The guy never looked, signaled or anything, just turned into me and opened the truck up like a can opener!!! The old truck took the hit well considering because I'm still alive, just still emotionally damaged as you can imagine:mad::(o_O!!

@ XtechX: That's a shame. I hope you can fix it.

It would be cool if some of you cats would repost some stuff on your trucks. Time has deleted a big part of this awesome thread. I am really feeling challenged with my 66 c-10 fleet side. I am not the oldest hot rod dude but have a lot of limitations due to health issues. I would have taken better care of my lame ass if I would have known that I would live this long. Need to change boxes, add two new 1/4's to it, put on a new tailgate on, change out a damaged door, replace broken door pins, and a bunch of other small issues. I love this truck as much as about any ride I have had. I am going to wait out this winter process and hopefully get back at it. No quitter here!!

Have the chance to buy a 1960 Chevy short box, and have been noticing that aftermarket
always list suspension kits for 63-66, what is different on the 60-62 and will disc brake kits be the same as 62-66?

home improvement show on HGTV called Home Town shows a 61-63 shortbed fleetside in original blue/white with awesome patina. Encourages me to keep working on my 66 that is a little rough.
