Merry Christmas all, This piece of cast steel has been around here for ages. Don,t even know what top or bottom is. Inside has the ribbels on only one side. Bolt hole is square on one side. Has a faint # 2 in old script. Nice point on the end though. ( i know all about Stanley knives, have scars to prove )

Looks like it's part of a plow, or some other type of agricultural equipment.

I can't remember the exact name but think it is the blade or shoe that goes on a seed drill to plant corn or other grain. That digs the narrow trench that the seed drops down though and the seed drops though the hole. Net is screwed up for the most part so I can't search much.

That was my first thought. I remember something like that from a McCormick grain drill like the one pictured here.

Yup it's the soil opener for a planter, the seed drops in the gap behind it and then gets covered with dirt buy either a dragging chain or press wheels or both.

Not off of a grain drill I believe it is off of a seed planter unit called Planet or Planter Jr.

    It's a leebarite.
Leebarite where you found it! Or if you don't like that, put it on your key ring and never loose your keys again.

It's a hoomerhingie, you dumasses, gets tied to your bumper to make sparks. Used to buy them at Al's bumper toys and novelties store, seen them on American graffiti, you'll have to watch the movie to see it behind the cop car. Merry Xmas to you all.
