Art & Inspiration long lost 1940's junk yard just found !!!!!!

The only thing missing is the junk yard Dog....................................... or is it!
Just like the real deals back in the day I could and have spends days crawling around a junk yard as a kid. Now I to find myself going back to look at your work, you must have lived it going by the detail work!

thankyou eh-bone ! its sits on top of my '56 chevy that I haven't driven since the 2011 Detroit autorama !!! heres a pic of it....

 

Might be a 1950s yard with that tri-five Chevy fender in the bed of the pickup....I could hang out all day long in THAT yard.

I have a couple hundred of early Ford models, a few 'built'. Your diorama is superb. Detail is so realistic it could be taken for the real thing.
What mfr. is the '48 Stude pickup? Monogram, maybe? Looks like 1/24 or slightly larger? Love to find one of those kits.

 

If it were any closer to being the real deal I'd have been already knocked over in the rush to get there!

its a 1/25 scale metal ertel limited edition truck. just had to have one in the yard !!!!!!!! the doors open. it had a bunch of dumb logos on it so I sanded and primed it to weather it.

 

As a old model builder you have done a fantastic job. Naturally a labor of love.

im with you on that ! its sad how many good yards got crushed, what a waste !!! once they are gone, they're gone !!!

 

You guys really need to see it in person and study it for awhile to see all the little details. It is definitely cool and he has already agreed to "will it" to me!
