I built this kit a few times over many years ago, that's what jump started my love for these little cars.[IMG]

Hi all, somewhere on the forum I found a fantastic article which was headed something like "1922 GN Chassis". The search doesn't show it, and I would really like to find it again.

    Hello, Rolf!
Probably all that you mentioned - but, at first it is one of a Parisien Follies from Belle Epoche - made for some vodville!

At first, I thought that it could be a fuselage for some smaller dirigible (lighter than air aircraft), but with such construction in general and especially technical details, it couldn't be that. That "propellers" must be just a flapping wings and probably propelled by pedals... Maybe good for water, too?

I hope that designer/constructor (quite a serious gentleman), didn't try to fly in that and finish as legendary "flyer" that jumped from Eiffel tower, vertically flying to the ground, killing himself and left his manager to collect money from a public and the sponsors...

    Ciao,
    Zoran

gn 49.jpg gn 24.jpg gn 31.jpg Great shots of the Chain Gang assembly.
    Those renders look familiar.
I could not render the assembly due to lack of clear photos. I was getting close to finishing that GN and now all I need is time.

as a kid I wanted one of those Midget Racers so much but it never happened. I did build a Soapbox Derby car to that design.

Now that my eyesight is failing most of we own will be sold. I'm OK with that. I'm not gonna die only go blind. I can not read my micrometers anymore... glasses don't fix this. But I will always have my memories and honestly don't need trip and fall over this stuff to remind me. SO THIS WILL BE MY JOB FOR THE NEXT YEARS.
