Yea Man, this will be a serious challenge ahead for me, but I'm gonna do it! I also really dig these "TALL T'S" and had the opportunity to build one these as a big 1/8 scale model kit, using candy model paint for the first time - check out the photo - LONG LIVE THE 60'S!!! That model is really cool and that chassis is pretty much identical to the one in my car except it'll have a sbc in front of the top loader.

Glad you digged the model, I did NOT like the quality and look of the body, so I threw it out. This is the style I'm shooting for on my rod. Wild, custom show rod from the early 60's! Following along to see what you will do with yours!

Over the years T coupes have grown on me. Not the tall ones, a decent chop is required.

C'mon, you don't feel that the tall "PHONE BOOTH" T is oozing character unlike most of the early bodies?

Great build so far! Congrats on the house and a nice looking set up for the garage with plenty of concrete (ready for a garage extension). Is the garage access via alley access?
I'd be looking at eventually extending that garage by connecting it to the house. You already have the house and garage as side walls. All you need is a back wall, front wall/doors and a roof. Plan in a shop area (furthest away from the house to limit noise) and half bath.

Did the shuffle from my small garage to my new place yesterday while the weather was still warm.
Will be getting started on it in the new year.

It's great to hear some new progress on your T after the new year. As is the case, most of the builds here are on pause because of the holidays. We've got some nice cool weather down here in FL, so I'm enjoying working on mine feverishly... Best holiday wishes to you and your family in your new home!

Neat car. Hadn't seen this thread before. Those oil filter header caps are neat! Looking forward to seeing more. Congrats on the new garage.

The tall T's are really starting to grow on me...specially the coupe...I'm working on this chopped coupe right now, but I can see a full fender T in my near future IMG_1212.JPG

I'm kinda surprised you mentioned seeing a full fender T in your future... I can't remember the last time I saw one of these Tall T hot rods WITH fenders. They're just way too bad ass without fenders in my opinion or most hot rods anyway. Your T is looking pretty rad Mark - you don't need fenders.

That is a SWEET T, everything Mark owns is outstanding! Would of liked this T more if the car was done in the wild 60's look.

Awesome GREEZBALL! Have you thought of the changes you would like to make to the suspension if any? Have a Happy New Year to you both in your new home! I'm almost at the welding stage with my '31, just recently cutting my rear frame rails to get rid of the leaf spring mounts and modifying the fuel tank support.

I have to redo most of the rear suspension. It has a suicide style spring mount off the back of the model A crossmember with the Spring above it which only allows for about half an inch of travel. The mount is actually good and sturdy I'll just remount the spring under it which should work. Now someone also put a four bar setup in which won't work with the torque tube so I'll be cutting that out and replacing with a split wishbone or hairpin style setup to work with the torque tube.

Glad you said to get rid of the four bar setup - show me a pic of this torque tube one day. I keep hearing about it and don't remember if I know what it looks like...
