Seems the other thread I made disappeared .....so here's another .

Well it's seems it was an old Hot rod out of California . Many coats of paint an old channel job with handmade subframe /41-8 Chevy taillights and what seems to be some holes for exterior hinges . Possibly a gas filler in between them ?

The main issue is no front door gaps but I hope the car pops when I cut the old subframe out .

Makes you wonder how many different hot rodders had their hands on that car over the years. Each one of those colors and patches tells a story.

  3. With your skills, the end result will be better than it came out of the Ford factory back in 1932!

  4. Oh yeah! Let the magic BEGIN!

  6. I made a post on your last thread but with the HAMB crash it to disappeared.

    This could be it
    1- California Hot Rod
2- Taillights seem to be in the same location
    3- Reddish-Pink colour
    4- Channelled

  17. Mart, All this time I thought your avatar pic was a silly face,
I just noticed its combustion chamber.
    Lol

Hey Flop, what would it take to get you to set up a time laps video of you fixing that highlighted area of the quarter panel?

Holy....xxxx! That is some amazing work.
...couldn't you just leave a few dents in it for us and use some bondo in a hidden place, so we hacks could point that out and say: look, bondo is ok, even Flop uses it! This would make our lives a lot less miserable...

  24. Beautiful! You could cut the damaged sections out and weld in new metal but then it is "new" and will only be original metal once. Beautiful!

Maybe you have explained the procedure to get that awesome finish in one of your other threads (I try to subscribe to them all), but how do you do it? Your work looks amazing as always!
