No car cover? We plan to take ours out to the outdoor Xmas lights show and put the top down when we get there. Snow only makes it more fun.

  6. Same here in WV. It's 28 degrees and snowing here tonight, but it's 70 degrees in The Hot Rod Grille Garage.

  7. My 34 body is stored at my son's garage while I finish up the chassis in my garage. Hope to put 'em back in one piece by mid April, after the snow goes off. 34move5.jpg 34move6.jpg

No snow to speak of yet, and not seriously cold, but plates are only valid through October. So parked for the winter, looking forward to spring, and planning changes for next year.

Here is my '62 belair just before it started its winter slumber. I put it in storage to free up garage space for projects.

In a earlier post a question was posted ....
    No car cover ?

No, it's in my garage and the last thing you want to do is put a cover on it.
The dust will wash off in the spring.

You don't want to have anything contribute to a warm haven for mice. Car covers help their cause.
As a matter of fact, in my garage I keep the windows down , I open the hood and trunk and the glove box.

I did that after I took the picture.

Those little bastards are looking for warmth to nest and I'm not going to make it any warmer for them with a car cover.

Now if I were to put it in a storage facility, I'd put a car cover on it not knowing what the next storage bay decides to power wash equipment with who knows what shit spraying all over.

I still open the glove box and keep the windows down, put tin foil balls to plug the exhaust pipes and air cleaner etc.

Remember to take the exhaust plugs out in the spring. I use steel scrubbies as plugs. Forgot to take them out. Started the car and launched them down the driveway.

First snow of the year this morning means the salt trucks were out in full force. Mine are packed away until the salt is gone. Most were jam packed into the insulated shed. 20171104_163814.jpg

The starter went out yesterday in a parking lot. Had to push start it by myself, then drive it home. I gotta pull the flathead out anyway so now's a good time I suppose. Off to the machine shop. Hopefully have it all back together before spring!

I don't drive my 61 Dodge in the winter because the heater doesn't work. it is below 60 today! it was in the 50's when I drove to work this morning. BRRRRRRR! might sprinkle on Sunday.
