Best to drop the 'Rat" word on this forum. Besides, the Plymouth really doesn't fit the image of a Rat Rod. Actually looks like solid and in great shape with only a couple of odd decals... What are your plans for the car? Ray
The silly stickers went immediately!! It had a neglected and abused 283 Chevy (1973 Block) It is now .60 over and back in the car. Put Charlie's front Disc kit on this weekend
Those hoods didn't fit from the factory....unless your building a show car no one will notice it...except you and me...good luck on the rest of the build...if you want to insure the car check out Hagerty , they are inexpensive and a stand up company..
Nice , I had a 47 coupe also. Body parts and trim were hard to find. Is yours complete I know I have stuff floating around still Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Looks like a great start! Make it safe and drive it. BTW I dont believe you have a 1973 283 but it doesnt matter.
Try p15-d24.com I've had great luck finding parts for my 48 there and on ePay. Tell me a little about your brake kit please. Your car looks solid, should be a fun build.
Your front mount looks a little iffy. That mount will eventually work the bolts out of the block and cause problems. Go side mount from the block or at least tie the 2 sides together such as a hurst mount.
if you have issues with the hood sides make sure its got the brace that runs side to side near the cowl. on mine I had to make some cuts and reshape it a little to hold the back corners tight.
Here is a link to Charlie's site. I have it on my '53 Dodge 1/2 ton, excellent kit. http://rustyhope.com/site/
