Folks Of Interest Has anyone heard from Bruce Lancaster?? He hasn't logged on in awhile.

Bruce hasn't logged on since late October, I hope he is okay.

 

He hasn't been on "The Ford Barn" since October 20 either. I also hope he is OK. Maybe he went to Instagram or whatever those other places are.

 

I haven't heard from Bruce in a while,he is a walking,talking encyclopedia of knowledge and one of the go to guys when it comes to Deuces. HRP

Bruce said in a Sept 20 post that he lost his wife and was in a lot of pain. He may be trying to work through his unfathomable loss.

 

Oh, I hate to hear that. His wife Alice passed away in September 2009. And now this, with Barbara's passing, also in September. We all need to keep Bruce in our thoughts and prayers. Bruce has been a wonderful friend to all of us, either directly or indirectly. We need to be the same for him.

 

I agree, Bruce has been a friend to all of us. One of the many people on the HAMB that make it so special. To those of you that know Bruce in the real world, please tell him we're all thinking of him.

 

Shared thoughts are with you Bruce during these very unfortunate times you are experiencing...

I sent Bruce an email this afternoon and got an email back. He has lots of things on his plate the way it sounded. He says he will be back.

There are about ten people on the Hamb that I don't know personally, but I seek out their posts to see what they have to share. Bruce Lancaster is one of those people.

It was 10 years ago now and the HAMB was a little different then, perhaps not so forgiving of a Newbie (remember Grenade Inspectors?) asking a silly question. Once I finally got up the nerve to ask, my "technical" question involved the evolution of the water outlets in particular and the cooling system in general of the Ford Flathead V-8. I didn't understand why the later engines had the outlets far to the front when it seemed to me that they would be more efficient located centrally in the heads like earlier versions. Bruce was kind enough, patient enough and for sure knowledgeable enough to explain in great detail the engineering behind the subject. I have been forever grateful that he not only answered my question fully, but never once berated me for being a dumb-ass Newbie.......Thanks, Bruce. Sorry for all you've been through. Get back to us soon..............................................Don.
