MAN! That is a lot of cool cars. I wish it had been filmed is slow-motion.

I'd say they're in very good hands. Many of them are connected and influenced by this great platform of Hoodlums "The Hamb" I really enjoy the international outreach of this hobby/culture as they do churn out super awesome Hotrod/Custom.

Pop over to Youtube or Vimeo there may be...I just chose a couple of shorter films to share here. I'm pretty sure our Aussie pals have beach events and dry lakes as well.

Looks to me like they are doing better than we are and under more difficult conditions and with less raw material to work with. My hat is off to all Europeans that are into Hot Rodding.

These are premier events for sure much like Trog and are period regulated. The results are quite refreshing to say the least. I also find it interesting these oh so cool events are based where metals nastiest nemesis Salt lurks...but I guess a heavy hosing is in order afterwords.

Whether it's Bonneville or the coasts of either continent the scenery is surreal and then throw the vintage stuff in epic...

These are really great events to attend if you can because they both are places the sport evolved in.

There is no better show case for a hot rod than it's natural environment.

I believe that you and Stogy are on the right track! Hot Rods are meant to be DRIVEN on the road or a track. I am tired of car shows in parking lots for the most part. I am thinking of this as my new avatar just to make the point.

I agree that events where you can drive around, put some peddle into the ole hotrod, perhaps even get timed
    are a want and fun.
On the same token popping into static events such as a cruise
is part of spreading the gospel so to speak.
I did try to hit cruises in different towns as same old same old gets old quickly.
What I like about these more specialized events is the period theme that resonates thru
the whole event which isn't present at cruises.
Unfortunately its mainly static events around here so hitting the open road and just cruising around is
mainly it for me. Even the Jalopy Jam Up is 5hrs drive for me...as I've moved...and you know moving has pros and cons as well. I don't mind hanging for a couple at a cruise...never know who you might bump into...
some Hambers with period rides would be nice...

What kind of suspension do you think that has? Parallel front springs? No homogenization there. A ton of cool though.

Probably just big slots and cutouts for the old I-beam, transverse and friction shocks...I'll bet the drag link and other goodies are hidden under the shrouded area too. Your right...the chance of two of these would be almost nil...and in thinking parallel springs exist with the shape of that pan area as well.

Okay...stupid me this might not even be a Ford maybe its Chrysler based...its got a flathead for sure...

Thanks Fat Ass:confused::D...32 perhaps Truck Shell maybe, looks heavier than passenger, agreed. The bars in the grille kind mimic those 31ish Chrysler but poorly. Modded T body agreed...It is funny how well most of its done then the grill and bumper guard thing look slapped together haphazardly. I'd like to see more pics.

  19. I agree the grille shell could be a truck shell. Only reason I didn't suggest that is because the grille bars in a truck shell are not removable, so why cut them out?. I'm still going to say it's a filled and peaked 32 car shell.
