You should name this "Cherry Mary", what a great car to start with. I painted the engine in my t bucket straight out of the can (with a brush) and drove it for many years without a problem. Keep up the great work, this looks to be one of those "casual hot rods".

Back here we have dirt AND rust; which, I suppose ,is why we just take them apart first. Keep it up; you're making good progress.

Shock mounts needed some mods to fit under the floor. Front spring hangers are going well. Rear hangers don't seem to want to be part of this car. I'll update that part tonight hopefully ( son wnts to play "zombies" instead of making hot rods) Sent from my LGLS992 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Solved the rear spring hangers. Problem was that I had walked off the front hole slightly and that threw everything off. But I think I was getting tired of drilling holes and having Dodge city dirt in my mouth, so I must have been rushing it. I would tell my guys at work, "Take time now and save time later." The axle is just resting on there right now. The urethane were bushings were a pain even with the prelube that's supplied. Ride height is everything, and I think this thing is gonna be way too low fr what I'm after. We'll see. I still have to set up the axle and weld the pads on. Those springs will settle give them 3 or 4 weeks of driving and see how much they settlle .car looks great.

The TCI parabolic two leaf springs will never settle enough to satisfy any Hot Rodder. It will require 3" blocks to become just acceptable. On my coupe I had a spring shop de-arch the TCI springs 1- 3/4" , then with 2" blocks they were OK - barely. Plus, with or without blocks the supplied shocks are fully extended.

I lost a little steam on this thing and I'll tell my sad story here: The fenton tripower came from my grandpa's speed shop. It had a matched set of rochesters from a j2 olds setup. I removed the carbs and boxed them up years ago to repair some things on the manifold. Fast forward to 3 years ago and I was packing up my garage to move to a rental while we waited for our new house to close (which was not a sure thing yet). My wife was having a yard sale to get rid of stuff and I started throwing stuff out there. Old tools extension cords etc. I also tossed a box full of single barrel holleys and denso smog carbs out there. It was a stressful time and our house sold fast leaving us nowhere to go. I'm racking my brain looking for the rochesters and now I think the densos were on top of them in that box. So I sold a j2 set of carbs for 20 bucks with a bunch of trash carbs. I don't even want to think of how much money I'm going to have to pay to replace them. And they won't be gramps' carbs. This sucks. I suppose this car is aptly named. Thanks for listening. None taken. Everyone in my club keeps saying the same thing. I keep tellin them "Trust me, I see the whole car in my head". Hopefully I can make believers out of everyone.
