Hey thanks! I love the wires, but it's nice to have choices. The chrome slots look good to my eye too, but they're really cheap wheels, there's grinder marks in the chrome rims! They're really just rollers, but I kinda like 'em.

Don't care for directional or Cragars on thirties cars.

  4. 20170820_111257.jpg I whole heartedly agree with the red wheel thing , specially with black.

"Lowmobile" wheels also have a certain appeal.

Xman..................can't be done.................chopping a 33/34 to much isn't possible. If it were legal (and I sat in the saddle ok), I'd drive the Peerson.s Bros. coupe on the street if I had it.

Brian, that black paint with chrome wires are the cat's ass. I still recall Magazine cover cars from the late '50s sporting chrome wires. Just a class act. Timeless!
I remember first seeing your roadster (the present 'glass car) and never suspecting it might end up in such splendor.
    Kudos...and more pics, please?

    Wheels, "tires" and stance.
One can have nice or wheels that "fit", but the tire can be WAY off. That can toss everything out the proverbial door.

This is how I like it, front end lowered with smaller tires and rear higher and bigger tires. I just started putting a 50 ford shoebox together, lowered front end and put smaller tires on front and just lowered the rear a little with bigger tires instead of slamming it to the ground like almost all shoebox's are done. 17. Wheels can make almost any car, I said almost, some turds can't be polished.
They can make an ordinary mundane car into a personal statement about how you feel about your car.
Stance goes hand in hand with wheels.
Drop a car a couple inches from stock, stand back & take a look, it almost appears to change the dimensions of the car.
Personally if I can see over the top of a thirties to fifties car that's when they look the best.
I'm 5'9", so that makes them pretty low.
There are many things that "make a car", but in my opinion wheels & stance make the biggest impact.

I get to the swap early so my buddy and I can watch people drive in and gag all over the terrible wheel combos.

There is nothing like a fender-less (or close to it) roadster with tall black radials on the fronts, always liked it better than sticking smaller wheels/tires up front (no offence to the members of that club, just personal preference)
screw the paint that thing is perfect.
