It is good to have talented friends, and friends who find you cool parts are good too.

What are you doing with the tube between the hinges on the passenger (right) side door?

My guess is the piece of rod between the hinges is drilled and tapped on both ends to make it easier to keep the door hinges aligned while moveing all the body parts around....... great idea and good work!

Yes. this is a tool drilled and tapped to fix the hinges... got it in line and can keep the distans between them..

  15. I am liking this very much....We know how hard it is even over here in the USA to build a hot rod & it is so much more to do this outside this country. My hat is off to you for doing this. Your work looks great and I am sure you will get this done.
If you get to the Midwest on your USA trip I would love to see it in person, so stop by my shop in Nebraska and I will buy ya a cold beer.

If not holes for the top, they could be holes for snaps to secure a tonneau cover.

Neat project. Thanks for sharing in this thread.

    Good luck!

There is plenty to see and do in the Pacific Northwest of the USA on your way to B.C.
Hope to see you and your car here.
