The Best Buddy Good Ol' Boy Price, I've found only works one way. If you don't expect anything, you're not disappointed as often.

No, that looks like a closed cab with the posts cut diagonally.

  7. I posted a few images of some "rip rap" I stumbled onto a few pages ago and have been working on getting some of the Riprap 8.jpg Riprap 9.jpg Riprap 10.jpg Riprap 11.jpg Riprap 12.jpg Riprap 13.jpg Riprap 14.jpg Riprap 15.jpg Riprap 16.jpg Riprap 17.jpg Riprap 18.jpg Riprap 19.jpg Riprap 20.jpg Riprap 21.jpg 59 Elky 14.jpg 59 Elky 15.jpg 59 Elky 16.jpg 59 Elky 17.jpg 59 Elky 19.jpg '59 Elky parts to help a friend fix a bad chop on a '60 he has. I finally made a deal with the land owner where the stuff is and a young friend and I made it down there this weekend. Enjoy!

  8. If nothing else, I would pop off the stainless off of those cars. And the taillights off that Packard.

Check out the door trim on this '54 Oldsmobile I saw. Still hanging on and perfectly aligned with the front fender trim and yet the entire door skin has completely disintegrated. Look at the door handle just hanging off into space!

My guess is this car sat on it's side for a while and then was flipped back down, explaining the rot, but impressive that the car could get tipped on it's side and tipped back up without disturbing that trim spear, which was still in excellent condition when I took it off of the car this weekend.

  10. What kind of tool did it take to remove that trim??

  11. Well, the old girl surrendered way more than I expected. My buddy was very happy with the "B" pillars for his '60 and the rest is available if you need any '59 chevy tail pieces.

  12. I have already arranged for a parts pick trip in the spring with the owner. Which one did you think is a Packard? I thought the yellow one was a mid 50's Buick and the upside down wagon was a Plymouth?

  14. Well I'll be darned, that does appear to be a 1956 Executive now that you mention it. I guess I will have to take the trailer and a young guy back with me. Thank you for the correction!

With that 1956 Executive it seems to me that after its media blasted and primer coated over every panel we are just stuck with 500 pounds of scrap metal.

  17. Its great fun shooting holes in old vehicles.I am considering setting this one out front for yard art & mounting the sign that's my avatar on it. It probably needs a few more holes to really be viable? setting & rotting 014.JPG setting & rotting 015.JPG

  18. Yea, it looks that way but it's hard to say. I thought the ElCamino was just 2-300# of rust too, but after a little work there is a pretty good sized pile of bits which are way better than what I have started with before, and will hopefully find new homes. And a couple crawdads crawled out of it in the shop!

  19. I am a curious sort. What year/make/model do you guys think this wagon started life as?
