Really like your car and the choices you have made. My car has a ways to go but gives me more good motivation! Your Tires require tubes correct? how have you found that whole process? I really like the look of your tires/wheels and has made me think of my choice as i was leaning towards bias plys. i have driven on them before but they do suck from a handling standpoint but of course i love the look but yours are a nice compromise.

Thanks Man, I appreciate that!! I do like the radials, I have a set of bias plys on 17" spoke wheels I run once In a while. There is a difference of course and to be honest not a huge one. These tires do run with tubes, I had them mounted at discount tire of all places, most of the guys there were scared of tubes, but they had a guy that knew what he was doing! My next set of tires will be bias I think. My dad just got those pie crust bias ply looking Coker radial tires, he is really happy with those, but they only come in 15". You really can beat the look of bias ply! They just have that classic look.

Hadn't seen this thread until now, glad I found it. Your car just keeps getting better and better as you get it dialed in.

This is the second car that I've seen satin paint buffed to shiny. I like it.

Nice simple hot rod...I have rails and a 29 body to start a similar build. I'll be studying your pics.

One month until the Old North State Invitational in Winston Salem, NC. A few minor things I want to get accomplished before then.

Just made it threw this thread after following along on Instagram for most of the time. Car is killer and I love that you drive it so much.

Is the paint satin paint that you polished up or was it some sort of primer? I think I may have missed that bit.

update from the last pictures on here (it's been a while).. I did chop the windshield another inch so the top looks a little better from the side, I also remade the top.

    Cool, absolutely love it.

The flat paint seems like it might be an easy to to drive it and do some body work at the same time. seems like it should be easier to blend in a new spot.

Then when it’s done sand and polish it up.

Thanks! I have blended a few spots, doesn’t blend well, there is a haze in between each layer.... but gives it character and looks like an old paint job.
