Judging by the valve cover size and spark location they could be Alexander heads that isky ran...

  5. There's more to it than that. It is a custom crankcase with TR top ends. Probably V8-60 crank, cam, etc.

I currently have under development, a kit to convert a small block Chevy into a flathead. I will keep you all posted on any developments.

I know you guys get a lot of sun down there in Florida and that might explain it but it wouldn't hurt to see a specialist just for the hell of it.

Well lets see: A flathead engine of 50 cubes in a pulling garden tractor makes around 65Hp as of fifteen years ago, maybe more now a days..Bore stroke of 4.00 x 4.00...So that would make a 520 hp flathead using the same techonology...So use a 400 block and crank-pistons-rods...wouldn't that be neet..re post #99.

I believe there was a 351 Ford converted to flathead pictured here on the HAMB a while ago. Guy said he would sell kits or something like that. I think if you want a big flathead you should get a Lincoln or Cad Or Packard or something like that. Segeave.

Ardun, an aftermarket conversion to make a flathead, not a flathead, designed by the father of the Small Block Chevy. Well, o.k., sounds like a step in the right direction!

Read somewhere that Isky's car has Maxi heads on it. They were some sort of truck head I guess.
