I put the first gear, and went down ramps. the car is on these four wheels.:)

Now, I need to find 2 or 4 whitewall tires like 5.00/5.25-16. Check carb, it leak:mad:, change all lamps, fuse box, think about new dash with cool gauges, close the floor, new carpet, change the steering wheel, adapt a rear bumper, new paint, body molding trim....and more .....well.......can anyone tell me when is it over?;);););)

You are doing an awesome job. We all know that you will come up with good ideas for your next steps. What kind of harness are you going towards? How many circuits, and 12 volt I'm guessing?

I don't know yet about electricity, of course I need speedometer, oil pressure, water temp, fuel, amp gauges....maybe autometer, or intellitronix, why not? maybe something like universal gauge dash with senders (Dakota digital, but it's too expensive for me...). Actually, I just turn the key, and push button to start engine, that it.
And yes, the battery is 12V now, all 6V stuff will end up on a shelf :p:p;););)

Be patient, I'll try to do something good;););););)

  15. If your wire is in good shape, you can do a 12 volt conversion fairly easily- just look up all the articles about it here on the HAMB- and Digital guages will look like merd, stick to those nice old mechanical ones! You could use the old 6 volt starter on 12 volts too, it will spin faster. It is usual practice with flatheads, stovebolts, ect. You have nothing to lose- except a 6v starter!

You right 36roadster, I agree about old mechanical gauges, but no more 6V in my car, after my engine swap (2.0L Ford, you know it, no?;)), I have to adapt all the electrical system. My starter is now in 12V, alternator and electronic ignition, and more.....but the biggest problem is that your free beer link doesn't work;););););););):):):)[IMG]

Not 'till the fat lady sings. Do you have fat ladies in France? Maybe not, if not this is going to be a long process.

A 78H06 voltage regulator and heatsink could supply your dash gauges with 6V if you want to keep them.
