I got a set of Drake hinge pin mirrors today from Sheep Dip here on the HAMB. They were new, never installed and he gave me a FANTASTIC deal on them !! I installed them and can now see out both sides . Thanks again to the HAMB for the info on which kind to buy and the great deal on them. Later Bill

If you can actually see anything of use out of the passenger side mirror I want to know your secret. I am planning to install a convex mirror on the passenger side to see if it will help. I had one on my previous coupe many years ago and remember that it help make that passenger side mirror useful.

I also plan to install a convex stick on head. With no mirrors before , I think I can see pretty good with the plain mirror head. I haven't drilled the hinge for the set screw yet so I may move the arm forward or backward . I at least feel comfortable now on multi lane streets. Later Bill

The convex mirror is a good idea. When I had my 40, I replace the 4” mirror heads with a 5”. It helped.

I have similar mirrors on my delivery, with a 4" convex head on the passenger side. I can see pretty well with them, considering the HUGE blind spot in a delivery.

They all look good, but I have to be partial to the "Maroon" ones!

I think I started one over 3 years ago. I will have to dig it up.
Not sure what the reason is but 3 of the many cars I've built or refinished have been Mercedes silver. A really bitchin 35 3w coupe and a quasi pro-touring 63 Nova convertible.
This one should look good with a silver/black theme.

Bret, all those years of being a caregiver gave me lots of time to surf the net and find them.

I have a few in my files, not as many as you guys. Unfortunately in my earlier collection, I never noted where they came from. Forgive me it these have been posted here before. $(KGrHqF,!hME9ELeOV1dBPRVUbI5hw~~60_3[1].jpg 4Tsedanfb1.jpg

  24. I can't remember who uploaded these, or when, but they were in my "HAMB Pictures/40 Fords" folder.

Something about a '40 Deluxe coupe wearing whitewalls and moon discs just does it for me. Besides that, it had a Hemi under the hood! 40%20ford%201b.jpg 40%20Ford1c.jpg 40%20Ford%201d.jpg 40%20Hemi.jpg
